Who is Kevin Raphaël ?

Kevin Raphaël is a biochemist, a science specialist, and a former substitute teacher in high schools. He also facilitated science activities for kindergarten and elementary school children with a company called “Mad Sciences”. However, at the time, he didn't take care of his health, and he was overweight, weighing over 240 pounds. His daughter also had health challenges, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. He decided to take his health into his own hands when he realized he didn't have the necessary energy to do activities with his wife and daughter. After three years of effort, he lost over 40 pounds. During this time, he discovered a 2017 study by the Public Health Agency of Canada that revealed that 30% of children aged 2 to 17 were overweight or obese. This put them at a high risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and other health problems. That's when he came up with the idea of launching "Perd La Boule" (meaning "losing one's mind" or "going crazy"), an initiative to fight childhood obesity, children's increasing sedentary lifestyle and in a fun and educational way. They organize fun physical activities for children in primary schools and daycare centers, share healthy lifestyle tips on social media, and host a health program called "Maboule Super Health Explorers", which his daughter and his wife participate in.They have created a donation page to support their mission. Their first goal is to reach 100 subscribers on their Patrion page of "Perd La Boule" to raise more awareness about their initiative. Their second goal is to reach 500 subscribers so they can hire staff and continue their mission. All of this is to give children a better start in life by helping them develop good health habits from a young age.
